What is Tanzania Elite Youth Soccer League (TEYSL)?

The Tanzania Elite Youth Soccer League is a premier youth football competition in Tanzania that showcases the nation's top young talent. It serves as a platform for promising soccer players between the ages of 12 to 18 to compete at a high level and gain valuable experience, while also attracting the attention of scouts and professional clubs.


The league aims to provide a structured and competitive environment for youth players to develop their skills, enhance their tactical understanding of the game, and foster a spirit of healthy competition. It offers a platform for talented youngsters to showcase their abilities, with the goal of nurturing and producing future stars of Tanzanian football.

TEYSL will provide teams with the opportunity to compete with other skilled teams in an organized and structured environment. The league also offers a platform for teams to showcase their abilities, improve their skill and enjoy the thrill of high-level competition.

Participating in our league allows teams to connect and network with other teams, players, coaches, and soccer enthusiasts. This can lead to potential collaborations, friendships, and exposure within the local soccer community. TEYSL is sponsored by Global Youth Support Center, an NGO from United States that has direct connection to high schools, soccer academies and Universities that offer Education scholarships with opportunity to develop their talent. Our soccer league can provide marketing and promotional opportunities for participating teams. This exposure can help teams gain visibility, attract potential sponsors, and expand their fan base. National tournament games will be televised.

Recognition and award

Teams registering for our league will have the chance to compete for various prizes and recognition. This can include trophies, medals, or other awards for outstanding performance, fair play, or individual achievements. Player of the year in U14, U16 and U18 will be offered a scholarship to attend high school and University in the United States. The best players will get the opportunity to attend a camp hosted by coaches from the Premier league in USA.

Engaging in our league allows teams to actively participate in thelocal soccer community. This fosters a sense of belonging, teamwork, and sportsmanship, promoting positive values and community involvement.

Who can participate in TEYSL?

For Youth Soccer Academies, secondary schools or any organization in Tanzania that can form three teams of Under U18, U16 and U14. The league will run from March 3rd to June 1st of 2024. Games will be played on Saturday/Sunday on designated sites. The League will consist of 3 divisions. Under U18, Under U16 and Under U14. The Teams will come from all over Tanzania divided into 4 regions as

follows:


East: Dar es salaam, Pemba (north and south), Zanzibar (south, central, north and west), Pwani

West: Kigoma, Tabora, Katavi, Rukwa, Shinyanga, Simiyu, Mwanza, Mara

South: Iringa, Mbeya, Njombe, Ruvuma, Linda, Mtwara, Morogoro (north and south)

North: Arusha, Manyara, Kilimanjaro, Tanga, Geita, Singida, Kagera, Dodoma

What are the fees and registration?

League fee $1,000 USD per academy

  • Under U14, U16 and U18 team.
  • Entitles Academies to 18 league games for each Level,
  • Soccer camp hosted coaches from United States
  • Scouting opportunity from American High Schools and Universities
  • Recorded Games and game of the week features
