About Us

Our Story

Global Youth Support Center began with a simple idea: create a place where refugee youth could spend their weekends doing something they loved.

What started as a small weekend soccer program quickly became much more than a game. Soccer gave young people an opportunity to build friendships, stay active, and experience a sense of belonging in a new country. It also gave our staff and volunteers something equally valuable: the chance to listen. Through conversations on the sidelines and rides home from practice, we learned about the challenges these youth and their families were facing, from navigating a new education system to language barriers, cultural adjustment, and uncertainty about the future.

Those relationships revealed needs that extended far beyond the soccer field.

As trust grew, so did our mission. We expanded our programs to include mentorship, academic support, leadership development, educational opportunities, cultural exchange, and community engagement. Today, Global Youth Support Center serves immigrant, refugee, and international youth by helping them overcome barriers, discover their potential, and build meaningful pathways to success.

While our work has grown, our purpose has remained the same: to create opportunities where every young person feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed without losing sight of who they are or where they come from.

We believe that when young people are given the right support, they don't just change their own lives. They strengthen families, enrich communities, and become leaders who create lasting impact across the world.

Vision

To empower immigrant, refugee, and international youth through education, leadership, sport, and cultural connection by creating opportunities that inspire personal growth, academic success, and lifelong leadership while strengthening communities across the world.

Mission

To build a world where every young person has the opportunity to reach their full potential, embrace their identity, and become a compassionate leader who creates positive change in their community and beyond.
