The International Education Opportunity Program (IEOP) is the flagship international student initiative of Global Youth Support Center (GYSC), dedicated to connecting talented students from around the world with life-changing educational opportunities in the United States.
We believe that talent is universal, but opportunity is not. Every year, countless academically gifted and motivated students are unable to pursue their dreams because of financial barriers, limited access to quality education, or a lack of international pathways. IEOP exists to bridge that gap.
Through partnerships with American high schools, colleges, universities, host families, and community organizations, we help students develop academically, personally, and professionally while preparing them to become ethical leaders in their home countries and around the world.
IEOP provides comprehensive support before, during, and after a student's educational journey in the United States. Our services include:
Our team remains actively involved throughout each student's educational experience, ensuring they receive the support needed to succeed both inside and outside the classroom.
IEOP is not simply a study abroad program—it is a long-term investment in a student's future.
Students become part of the GYSC family. We work closely with schools, host families, parents, and community partners to create a safe, supportive, and structured environment where students can thrive academically while maintaining the values and cultural identity that make them unique.
Our philosophy is simple:
Students should adapt to a new culture without losing who they are.
Students participating in IEOP have opportunities to pursue:
Whether a student dreams of becoming a physician, engineer, educator, entrepreneur, or professional athlete, IEOP provides a pathway to help make those goals achievable.
IEOP welcomes motivated students from around the world who demonstrate:
While many of our current students come from East Africa, our vision is global, and we welcome qualified applicants from diverse backgrounds.
Every student deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential.Through education, mentorship, and meaningful international experiences, IEOP equips students with the knowledge, confidence, and global perspective needed to become tomorrow's leaders. At Global Youth Support Center, we are not simply helping students study in America,we are helping them build futures without borders.

The Refugee Youth Empowerment Program (RYEP) is a comprehensive initiative by Global Youth Support Center (GYSC) designed to support refugee and immigrant youth as they build successful futures in the United States. Through academic support, mentorship, leadership development, social-emotional learning, and community engagement, we help young people overcome barriers, discover their strengths, and reach their full potential.
We understand that many refugee youth face unique challenges, including language barriers, interrupted education, cultural adjustment, trauma, and navigating unfamiliar systems. Our program provides a safe, supportive environment where students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally while maintaining pride in their cultural identity.
The Refugee Youth Empowerment Program offers a wide range of services, including:
Our program recognizes that student success extends beyond the classroom. We work collaboratively with schools, families, community organizations, and mental health professionals to address the whole child—supporting academic achievement while fostering confidence, resilience, and a strong sense of belonging.
Participants develop practical life skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, conflict resolution, leadership, and goal setting that prepare them for success in school, the workplace, and their communities.
The program serves refugee and immigrant youth from elementary school through young adulthood, with services tailored to each participant's age, educational background, language proficiency, and personal goals.
Many of our participants come from diverse backgrounds, including families who have recently resettled in the United States, as well as youth who have been in the country for several years but continue to benefit from culturally responsive support.
At Global Youth Support Center, we believe refugee youth are not defined by the challenges they have faced—they are defined by the potential they possess.
Our goal is to empower every participant to become a confident student, compassionate leader, engaged community member, and successful global citizen. By investing in education, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities, we help refugee youth build brighter futures for themselves, their families, and the communities they call home.
